Louis Willacy, Principal

Louis is a consultant and entrepreneur with over 20 years of experience in technology, operations and business management.  He has helped dozens of enterprises achieve their goals.

Louis currently serves as the Chief Operating Officer and General Counsel of Tari Labs, developer of the Tari (www.tari.com) blockchain protocol, where he oversees global operations, finance, HR, and regulatory strategy and ensures the company’s workforce is highly engaged and executing with clear alignment to the company’s strategic goals.  During his tenure, the company has raised tens of million of dollars in capital, quadrupled its workforce, and developed and launched new products that have generated over $20 million in sales.

Prior to Tari Labs, Louis served as General Manager and SVP HR with ​The Meet Group (NASDAQ:MEET) where he oversaw Silicon Valley operations and led the company’s efforts to attract, develop and retain the best talent.  Prior to that, he served as​ ​General Counsel and SVP Corporate Development at if(we), where he​ ​led the acquisition of if(we) and​ ​oversaw all legal matters.  He has also served as Chief Operating Officer and​ ​General Counsel​ ​of Ennovate Media, a media technology company based in New York, and as Vice President, Business and Legal Affairs with The Deal, L.L.C., a financial news publishing company also based in New York.

​Louis ​began his career as a corporate associate with Dewey Ballantine LLP working on mergers and acquisitions and securities offerings. He is a graduate of Wesleyan University (B.A.) and Columbia Law School (J.D.), where he served as an Editor of the Columbia Law Review.
